How it works
Get in touch by sending us an email describing what you want.
We'll confirm that you can access GPX files of your track.
We'll work with you to refine your preferences and identify a map style, size, and any features and text you want.
Based on these we'll send you a final quote to accept that incorporates the level of customisation you're after.
We will prepare and send a low-resolution image file for you to approve or request changes.
We will prepare your final file and invoice.
High resolution and print files will be provided upon payment being received.
Downloading your tracks
There are many ways you can GPS your trip.
If you are embarking on a short term charter or cruise and you don't want to invest in paid subscriptions you can record your tracks in the Gaia GPS app. It's free and easy to save tracks, but you will have to export the GPX files individually for each recorded trip.
Similar to number 1, if you are only travelling for a short time and own a sport watch such as a Garmin or Suunto you will be able to record each day on your watch and export the GPX files separately.
Save your track in your Plotter and export them to a memory card, or to your computer via Wifi. There are many brands and models of plotters so exact methodologies cannot be displayed here. But get in touch if you're not sure and we'll help you work it out.
OpenCPN. If you run a computer or mobile device with Open CPN you can record your track whenever you move and easily export these into one GPX file.
Navionics. If you are subscribed to Navionics on a mobile device or ipad you can hit start whenever you leave an anchorage and record each track you do. Go to Menu > tracks and click the three dots in the top right corner to select all. Click share, export to GPX. The file will appear in your downloads.
Garmin device. Log on to Garmin Explore and select Map in the top menu. An export button will appear at the top right. Export to GPX and it will appear in your downloads.
PredictWind. If you are tracking your boat with PredictWind we will have to contact them for the raw GPX files. We can do this on your behalf but PredictWind will require a release from you and will charge an administration fee that will be included in your invoice.
